Judith Ann Owens

On August 25, 2025, the world lost a bright light with the passing of Judith Ann Owens, at the age of 66. She left this world as she lived in it, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born to Parents(deceased) Joseph and Alice Dittman on January 2, 1959 in Cleveland, Ohio, Judy was a special gift from the start. Judy lived a life filled with love, humor, and an infectious laugh that could fill any room. Judy found immense joy in her family and dear friends. Judy lived in Central Florida for 48 years, however, Judy’s heart never left Cleveland. Judy worked at the Lakeland Public Library for 15 years in the Children's Department. This brought Judy boundless joy. Judy was active in the Winter Haven Jaycees where she met Mary Jane Broadus, her dear lifelong friend.

To know Judy was to be touched by her boundless generosity and genuine spirit. Judy was also a cherished friend, a devoted partner, and the best sister and aunt anybody could ask for. Judy's spirit lives on in the countless memories she made with those she loved.

Judy will be deeply missed by her partner, William Schneider, her brothers and sisters Mary Jaeckin(Richard), Alice Anthony(David), Michael Dittman(deceased) (Kelly), David Dittman(Ruth Ann), Margaret Anthony(Daniel), Janet Willard(JW), Joan Workman(Robert) and a large community of family and friends.

A Celebration of Judy's life will be held at Carillon Lakes Lakeview Hall 3901 Carillon Blvd Lakeland Fl 33811 on September 14, 2025 12:00 - 4:00pm. Please bring your favorite memories and stories to share. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Judy's memory by a simple act, such as performing a random act of kindness.

An additional Celebration will be held in Cleveland, Ohio at a future date.
