Joseph V. Johnson, 75, of Ocala, Florida passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Munroe Regional in Ocala, Florida. Joseph was the eldest son of Abel and Olive Kiser Johnson. He retired from General Motors as a Journeyman Electrician.  Joseph was married to Naomi Perry, Ada M. Johnson (preceded in death) and Neitherland Webb.   He was very talented working with his hands, rebuilding cars, wood crafting, fishing, and hunting deer (with his son's). Joseph will be remembered for many things: his smile, sense of humor, his kindness, patience, willingness to help others, he always had an open heart and was an anchor in our storm. He was preceded in death by his parents, Able Johnson and Olive Kiser Johnson and his brother, Layne Johnson. 

Joseph is survived by his children, Deidria (James) Brewer, Anthony (Sharon) Johnson, Michael Johnson, Dewana (Tony) Westmoreland and Brian Johnson; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 5 sisters, Patricia Potter, Una Warren, Freda Counts, Abigail Stevens and Mavis Caudill; brother, Avery Johnson.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Little Ruth Old Regular Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 10:00am at the church with Elder Doug McCarty officiating and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
