Johnny McRae, 75, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away June 7, 2017.  He was born on April 16, 1942 in Quitman, GA to the late Donnell and Mildred (Terrell) McRae.  Johnny spent most of his life here in Clay County and attended Congregational Holiness Church. He was an avid fisherman who loved to talk about his grandkids and was a Georgia Bulldog fan.  He worked for many years as a crane operator before retiring in 2003 and he liked doing things for himself and not having to ask for help. Johnny was preceded in death by his wife Mary Jane McRae. He is survived by his sons, Jesse McRae (Tracie) and Ronnie McRae “Toastie” (Crystal); daughter, Sherri Baxley; brother, Donald McRae (Alma); 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, June 12, 2017 at Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. Ronnie Surrency officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until service time in the church.  Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
