John Clifton Jeffers, Jr., 79, of Orange Park, FL passed away at his home December 22, 2017. Mr. Jeffers was a lifetime resident of Clay County and had owned a land clearing company for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Beverly Prevatt; daughter, Angie (Jamie) Green; stepsons, James (Rose) Burnell, Jerry Burnell, Jeffrey (David Burnett) Burnell and Jamie (Shay Anderson) Prevatt; brothers, Carlos Jeffers and Hollis Jeffers; sister, Linda Crumpler; grandchildren, Karie (Rickey) Wroubel, Erika (Jack) Spain, Buddy (Cheyenne) Green, Brooke Green, James W. Burnell, Justin (Lydia) Burnell, Meriah Perry, Jeremy Prevatt and Junior Prevatt; great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Jake, Landen, Gracelyn, J.T., Kolten, Owen, Olivia, Savannah, Kaleb and Noah.

 Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Doctors Inlet Church of God, 144 Old Jennings Rd, Orange Park, FL 32065 with Pastor Byron Griffis officiating.  The family will receive friends beginning an hour prior to service time. Burial will follow in Peoria Cemetery.
