John Martin Dubay, 74, of Orange Park, Florida, passed away on Monday, June 9th, 2025. He was born on December 28th, 1950 to Alcide Fred Dubey and Alda Thibodeau Dubey in Fort Fairfield, Maine. He graduated from Fort Fairfield High School in Fairfield, Maine, class of 1969. 

After high school, John joined the Navy, served for 23 years, and reached the rank of Chief Petty Officer as an Aviation Anti-Submarine Warfare Operator (AWC). Through his life he was an avid gun collector, fly fisherman, woodworker, among many other hobbies. John also loved his 4 dogs. 

He is survived by his wife, Angela Cummins Dubay of Orange Park, Florida, whom he married in 2019. He is also survived by his sister Anne Dubey (Stephen Gill), as well as stepchildren Rachel Davies of Gulfport, Mississippi, Andy Reeves of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Wayne (Lauren) Sanders of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Melody (James) Harrison of Goose Creek, South Carolina and Anna Compo of Orange Park, Florida. John had twenty grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two nieces. One grandchild predeceased him. 

A short graveside service will take place on Friday, June 27th and starts promptly at 1:30pm at Jacksonville National Cemetery 4083 Lannie Road, Lane #3, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
