Joe S. O’Berry, 97, of Middleburg, FL passed away Thursday, March 4, 2021. He was born to Aaron O’Berry and Agnes Rosier on May 30,1923 in Townsend, GA.

Joe served in the Army during WWII and was chief gunner of the Antiaircraft Machine gunner crew. He retired from Florida Solite in Green Cove Springs.

He was a member of the Church of the Brethren, Rock Bible Church, and loved his church family. Fishing was his passion. He also enjoyed hunting and gardening.

He was the most loving Daddy, Papa and Papa Joe to his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, three sisters, son Kevin, and wives Janice and Wanda Lee.

Survived by daughter Sherry Allbritton (David) and son Mark O’Berry (Angela), four grandchildren, Allison Johnson (William), Brad Allbritton, Cortney Alstatt (Matt), Nathaniel O’Berry (Christy) and five great grandchildren, Hayley (Andy), Alissa, Dustin, Bailey, Lola, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral will be Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 2:00pm at Peoria Cemetery with Pastor Nate Mattox officiating.
