Joanna Harrell Hemsworth, born April 19, 1971, loving mother of dear eight year old Emily, sister of Chris Harrell and daughter of Rosemary and George Harrell passed away peacefully Monday June 24, 2019 after a 2 year battle with cancer. All who knew and loved her celebrate her as a very special mother, deeply loyal friend and consummate professional in all business endeavors Always willing and eager to give of herself in hugs, laughs, advice, counseling and moral support to all who loved and respected her, Joanna was indeed a very special, cherished woman. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
Cancer took her even as she fought tirelessly to beat it. The family sends our appreciation to Cancer Specialists of North Florida and Community Hospice. Joanna's wish was that in lieu of flowers donations be made to organizations seeking a cure for cancer.
The service for Joanna will be held at Green Cove Springs Presbyterian Church on Thursday July 11 at 2 o'clock. There will be a reception to celebrate her life afterwards in the church hall.
