Jerry L. Perry

Jerry Perry, 71, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away peacefully on June 23, 2022.  He was born on June 22, 1951 in Jacksonville, FL to parents Charles and Emalee Perry.  Jerry grew up and spent most of his life on the Westside of Jacksonville.  In recent years, he moved to Green Cove Springs to be close to family.  Jerry was the owner of Jerry’s Hauling, driving dump trucks in the Jacksonville area.  He recently retired and enjoyed the extra time to spend with family and friends.  He loved fishing, hunting, watching NASCAR, and being outdoors riding in his Kubota or golf cart.  Jerry will be remembered as a loving Father, Brother, Uncle, Papa, and Friend.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Emalee Perry, and his brothers, Jimmy Perry and Grady Perry. 

He is survived by his daughter, Jamie Perry; his sisters, Judy Giddens (James), Becky Calley (Pete), Deanna Alexander (Mark), Chrissy Perry, Missy Batton (Dale), and Windy Hunter (Darryl); his stepsons, Daniel Jacobs (Ashley) and Scott Jacobs; his 2 grandchildren Rhett and Luke; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, in the Broadus-Raines Chapel.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, June 30, 2002, in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Brother Ricky Bybee officiating and burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
