Jerry Lee Griffin, known to those that love him as Daddy, Pa, and Gunk, went home to be with his Lord, Tuesday, January 23, 2024.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to many.

Jerry was born June 23, 1958, in Doctors Inlet, Florida to parents, Clarence and Mary Griffin. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Miles and Jamie and sister, Donna and brother-in-law, Roy Clark.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lillie, his four children, Thomas (Jeanne), Jeffrey (Marcy), Krissy (Brian) and Jennifer (Dan). Also, nine grandchildren, Brandy, Andrew (Carissa), Jordan, Dylan, Lincoln, Xavier, Legend, Aiden, and one great-grandson, Raylan.

Jerry was a long-time member of Doctor’s Inlet Church of God and Bethel Holiness Church. He greatly enjoyed witnessing to the lost; whether it was in prison ministry, nursing home ministry, street ministry, on his job or to his doctors in the hospital.

Some of Jerry’s greatest joys in life were his grandchildren, going to livestock auctions, flea markets, and taking long drives with his wife.

Visitation will be held in the Broadus-Raines Chapel on Friday, January 26, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Doctor’s Inlet Church of God on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 11:00 am with Rev. Mitchell Snowden officiating and eulogy given by Rev. Sherman Duncan. Internment following at Peoria Cemetery.
