Jerald Keith Griffis

Jerald Keith Griffis, 72, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away August 28, 2021 in Jacksonville, FL. He was retired from CSX. Jerald attended Decoy Baptist Church in Green Cove Springs. He loved to garden, plant flowers, go fishing, and spoil grandkids. He was a great cook and everybody will remember him by his home grown cooked corn on the cob, and his love for fishing. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Marie Griffis.

Jerald is survived by his 3 children, Joseph Keith Griffis, Sandy Patricia Griffis, and Charmaine Marie Joiner (Thomas). His many grandchildren: Tesya Griffis, Joshua Griffis, Klaten Fishburn, KennyJo and Coleman Brasswell, Karoline Knight, Summer, Mason, Amelia, Cadence Obryan, Melody Joiner and Raven Clay (James). 8 great grandkids. Brothers: Arnoll “Red” Griffis (Mavis) and Charles Griffis (Kathy) and many many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 am, Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Decoy Baptist Church. Funeral services to begin at 11:00 am with Pastor Barry Mathis officiating. Graveside service to follow at Decoy Cemetery.
