Jeanne Sullivan Breakfield, beloved mother, wife, and faithful servant of Christ, passed away on December 24, 2025 at the age of 89.

She was born February 20, 1936, arriving shortly after her twin brother. As twins, they were very close growing up and later as adults. In 1952, she met the love of her life, John Howard Breakfield. They were married in 1958 and built a life rooted in devotion, steadiness, and deep affection. Together they raised three children, creating a home defined by commitment and care. Their marriage flourished for more than six decades, until his death in 2023—a loss she felt deeply.

Raised in the Baptist tradition, Jeanne’s faith remained central throughout her life. In 1981, she joined Palms Presbyterian Church after moving from Chesapeake, Virginia to Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, and found a spiritual home that reflected her values of service, humility, and community. In 2002, she moved to Green Cove Springs, Florida, where she became an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Green Cove Springs. She remained devoted to that congregation until her death.

Her faith was lived as much through action as belief. For many years, she volunteered weekly to clean the church sanctuary, a task she approached with dedication and reverence. It was one of the many quiet ways she served others, never seeking recognition, but finding meaning in faithful work done well.

Jeanne is survived by two of her three children, John Preston Breakfield and Martha Dagnall, and four grandchildren, Preston Breakfield, Brandi Redding, Jonathan Thompson, Harlow Thompson, and great grandson Gavin Redding, and by those who were blessed to know her kindness, loyalty, and enduring faith. She was preceded in death by her daughter Sarah Elizabeth Breakfield in 1991, husband, John, in 2023, and brother PJ (Bobo) Sullivan in 2024.

A service celebrating her life will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Green Cove Springs on January 15, 2026 at 2:00. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to First Presbyterian Church of Green Cove Springs.

Her life was a testament to love, faithfulness, and service, and she will be deeply missed.
