Jean Watkins “GiGi”, 62, of Green Cove Springs, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 in Green Cove Springs.

Ms. Watkins was born in Jacksonville, Florida on March 26, 1957, to Richard and Ann Watkins of Jacksonville, Florida.  Ms. Watkins graduated from Clay High School in 1975. While attending Clay High School, she worked for Wilson Insurance Co. and continued there after graduation for over 20 years. After leaving the insurance field, Ms. Watkins went to work for the City of Green Cove Springs, in accounts payable, for 14 years and retired from the city in February of 2016.

Ms. Watkins is survived by her fiancé, William O’Daniel; mother, Ann Grambrell; sister, Betty Hancock; two sons, Jason and Brian Clark and their wife’s; two grandsons, Kaine and Easton Clark, all of Green Cove Springs, Florida.

Ms. Watkins loved competing in barrel racing and won many events, her best friend was a Jack Russell dog named “Cash”.

The family will receive friends at 1:30pm on Monday, April 8, 2019 in the Broadus- Raines Chapel.  Funeral Services will start at 2:30pm with Reverend Ron Baker officiating and the burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
