Jean Thomas, 80, of Orange Park, FL, passed away December 9, 2017.  She was born on October 3, 1937 in Wayne, MI to parents Jesse and Clara (Hewett) Charters.  She has worked as an Administrative Assistant for the United States Department of Labor and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Orange Park Chapter #226.  Mrs. Thomas enjoyed sewing and quilting.  She had a heart of gold and will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Rance Thomas, Sr. and is survived by her son, Joseph Rance Thomas, Jr.; daughter, Denise A. Harry; sister, Joann Sutton and grandchildren, Brandon C. Thomas, Heather Mae Harry and Francine Nicole Thomas.

Inurnment will take place at 12:30 pm in Jacksonville National Cemetery on January 5, 2018, Lane #1
