Jayme Dawn Reed

Jayme Dawn Reed of Green Cove Springs, Florida, loving mother and grandma “GJ”, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2023, at the age of 53. Jayme was born to Jimmy Dean Reed and Mary Christine Reed on September 10, 1969, in Des Moines, Iowa.  Jayme was the eldest of three children, and she is survived by her father, sister Ginger Johnson (Jason), and brother Bryan Reed (Adele).  

Jayme worked in several places throughout her life.  She loved going to the beach, listening to music, attending rock concerts, and she loved her boys beyond words!

Jayme will be forever remembered and deeply missed by those who knew and loved her, including her children Blaine Richard Houck (Johana) and Triston Scott Reed (Autumn), as well as her grandson Colson James Reed and her nephews and nieces.  

Now free of pain and at peace, Jayme has reunited with her daughter, Harli Jade Reed, her mother, Mary Christine Reed, and her grandparents who all preceded her in death.

The family will receive friends from 2:00pm to 3:00pm on Friday, June 9, 2023, in the Broadus-Raines Chapel and a Celebration of Jayme’s Life will begin at 3:00pm.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
