Janet Kay Stephenson, 83, of Keystone Heights, Florida, passed peacefully on November 7, 2023.

Janet was born to the late William and Lillian Murphy on October 8, 1940 in Ironton, Ohio. Janet was a proud military spouse, devoted mother and grandmother, and dear friend to many. She was a graduate of Ironton Highschool and was a “Fighting Tiger” until the end. In life, Janet could be seen rooting for the Florida Gators and Ohio State Buckeyes, watching professional bowling, and, above all else, playing bingo. 

Janet is preceded in death by Shirley and Louise (sisters). She is survived by her husband Merrill “Glen” Stephenson, her daughter Glenda (Morgan) Smith, Grandchildren Sean (Alex) Bowles, Cody (Cian) Snelgrove, and Lillian (Zach) Nindl, and Great-grandchildren Paislei and Avery. 

Janet’s funeral service will be held in the Broadus-Raines Chapel on Monday, November 13, 2023, beginning at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends in the Broadus-Raines Chapel from 10:00 am until service time.
