James R. Magee, 55, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away November 4, 2017. He was born on November 9, 1961 in Wichita Falls, Texas to parents Michael Ross Magee and Loretta (Capps) Hickey. James was a lifelong resident of the NE Florida and of the Methodist faith.  He enjoyed bowling, was fun loving, talkative and a die-hard Florida Gators fan!!  James coached children’s baseball, along with being an umpire, at Carl Pugh Park in Green Cove Springs.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Loretta Hickey. James is survived by his loving wife of nine years, Patti Magee; father, Michael Magee; daughter, Starlet Walker (Ben); stepdaughter, Ashley Thompson; stepson, Alex McBride; brother, Jan Hickey; sisters, Liz Ramsey (Shane), Diane Capps and Kerry Capps; stepbrothers, Jay Hickey and John Hickey; and two granddaughters, Keira and Victoria. A memorial service will be held at 6:00pm on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel.
