J. Everett “Ebby” Johns, 81, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away August 19, 2018.  He was born on October 2, 1936 in Jacksonville, FL to parents Eddie and Evelyn (Silcox) Johns.  Mr. Johns worked as a field crewman in the surveying business and was an accomplished Bluegrass Fiddle Player. In his free time he enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his wife, Betty J. Johns; sister, Evelyn Ellis and nieces and nephews, Kenneth Silcox, Carl Silcox, Lora Rasmussen, Deanna Pelletier, Denise O’Connor, Dan Ellis and Rebecca Bueme.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, August 25, 2018 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Rev. Tim Hall officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until service time.  Interment will follow in Peoria Cemetery.
