Hubert M. Fullwood, Sr.

Hubert M. Fullwood, 85, of Penney Farms, Florida, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 28th, 2025. Born on October 14th, 1939 in Jacksonville, Florida, Hubert proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, enlisting in 1958 and receiving an honorable discharge in 1962. Following his service, he began a long and dedicated career as an electrician, a profession he faithfully worked in for 38 years before retiring.

Hubert was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church where his quiet faith and steady presence were a comfort to those who knew him. In his free time, he enjoyed the simple pleasures of life- riding his golf cart and tending to his garden with care and pride.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Shirley Fullwood; his three children, Debra Shaffer (Eddie), Hubert M. Fullwood Jr, and Regina Hahn (Paul), his four grandchildren; Kaci (Dustin), Brandon (Kristen), Christian (Rebecca), and Jenna, and his five great-grandchildren; Brylee, Lawson, Rosalee, Selah, and Jacob along with a host of extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Funeral service to honor and celebrate Hubert’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025 at 11:00am at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home.

Hubert will be remembered for the love that he had for his family, his strong work ethic, and the quiet joy he found in everyday moments of life.
