Helen Driggers peacefully passed away on Monday, August 10, 2026, in Hospice care in Tallahassee, FL. She was a resident of St. Augustine Plantation Assisted Living.

Helen was born on May 6, 1933, in Green Cove Springs, FL, to parents Joe and Ruth Herbert. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert; son, Larry; brother-in-law, Robert Driggers (Lorraine); sister-in-law, Fay Minnoti; sister-in-law, Lila Messer (George); sister, Irene Thomas (Woodrow); brother, J.L. Herbert (Evelyn).

She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Burkhalter (Randy); grandson, Ryan Burkhalter (Barb); great grandchildren, Allison Barnhart and Cameron M. Burkhalter; and nieces and nephews.

Helen spent 26 years working in the health care field, retiring as Director of Respiratory Therapy at Doctor’s Memorial Hospital in Perry, FL. She enjoyed spending time planting flowers and creating beauty in her yard.

Services to be officiated by Pastor Bobby Baker on Saturday, August 15, at 2:00pm in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. A visitation will be held one hour prior starting at 1:00pm. Following services, burial will take place at Decoy Baptist Church Cemetery.
