Harold "Lynn" Archer

Harold “Lynn” Archer of Middleburg, FL was 63 years old when he went to be with Jesus on May 4, 2025. He was born to Harold Leon Archer Senior and Sandy Upthegrove on July 22, 1961, at St. Luke’s Hospital of Jacksonville, FL.

His love for fishing and saltwater was inspired early by his dad. His kind nature and big heart was inspired by his momma. Throughout his childhood he loved many dogs, rode his bike, fished with his dad, played pool, and water skied before graduating from Jackson Hich School. Like his dad he went into construction where he developed a special talent for hanging and finishing drywall, painting, and also worked at times for Clay Septic and Land Development.

Lynn loved Jesus and used to read the Lord’s prayer at night with his family and was a member of First Baptist Church of Middleburg. Lynn loved the Huguenot jetties and especially loved fooling sheepshead with fiddler crabs on a cane pole and stuffing them in the green duffle bag from his dad. Scraping barnacles, finding muscles, and waiting for a bite is where he found his joy. He also enjoyed golfing, working in his yard, being with his family, and loving-on every furry or scaled creature that graced the Archer home. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, love for the ocean, adoration of animals, his love for Jesus, and as a beloved son, husband, and father.

He left behind his momma, Sandy Upthegrove; stepdad, John Upthegrove; wife, Angela Archer; daughter, Jordan Martin; son, Dalton Archer; and son in law, Christopher Martin; Maggie, Festus, Saphora, Bagheera, and all of his grand dogs and kitties.

We will be celebrating Lynn’s life on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Pastor Robert Caudel will be officiating the service.

If you wish to donate, in lieu of flowers please donate to the American Kidney Fund.

Lynn was a fun soul with a life cut short in part due to chronic kidney disease. He is walking next to Jesus now and living the most peaceful and joyous life he has ever known!
