Gene Michael Bergeron, 55, of Orange Park, FL passed away on March 19, 2018. Gene was born on August 29, 1962 in Long Island, NY to parents Donald Rowland Bergeron and Louise Ann (Palladino) Bergeron. He came to the area in 1981 from Long Island, NY and was of the Catholic faith.  Gene was a Master Mechanic and loved anything with an engine.  He enjoyed watching NASCAR and Stock Car racing.  He was a great dancer who liked the beach and fishing.  Gene was an activist for the handicap, was so kind hearted and always there to stop and help others that were broke down on the side of the road. He was preceded in death by his brother, Eric D. Bergeron.

Gene is survived by his mother, Louise Bergeron; father, Donald Bergeron (Lucille); sister, Renee Harris (Dane); uncle, Howard Bergeron (Maureen) and aunt, Judy Palmeri (Tony).  

The family will receive friends at 2:00pm on Thursday, March 22, 2018 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel.  Funeral services will follow at 3:00pm with celebrant Deacon Larry Hart.
