Gary Wayne
Jacobs
April 13, 1960 — October 27, 2026
Green Cove Springs, Florida
Gary Jacobs was a man of few words who found happiness in life's simple pleasures — a good round of golf, a quiet day fishing, and an ice-cold Dr Pepper.
Quiet and reserved, Gary was a man who mostly kept to himself. He had a grumpy side, was set in his ways, and wasn't one to sugarcoat much of anything. But those who knew him understood that he had his own way of showing he cared.
Golf was one of Gary's greatest passions. He looked forward to his annual boys' golf trip, a tradition filled with friendship, familiar faces, and time spent doing what he loved. Just as special were his weekend rounds of golf with his son. Those days on the course became more than just a game — they were time spent together, creating memories that will be treasured for years to come.
While he enjoyed the quiet of a fishing trip or a day on the golf course, his grandchildren held a special place in his heart. Christmas mornings will always bring memories of him putting together dollhouses and assembling race car tracks, making sure everything was ready for the kids to enjoy. He may not have been a man of many words, but his love was evident in the things he did for those closest to him.
Gary didn't need to be the center of attention or the loudest person in the room. He was simply himself — quiet, a little grumpy, and loved for exactly who he was.
He leaves behind family and friends who will miss his familiar presence, his unique personality, and the memories made together.
Family and close friends will gather at the home of William Jacobs for an intimate celebration of life, “The 19th Hole – A Life Well Played,” honoring his love of golf, family, and the memories made along the way.
His final round may be over, but the memories made along the way will never be forgotten.
