Frances Brown McClamroch

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go prepare for a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am, you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.”

Frances Brown McClamroch was born December 12^th, 1954 in Jacksonville, Florida. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth W. Brown, her father, James F. Cox Sr, and second husband, Joseph S. McClamroch. She was the second of four children to James and Ida Lee Cox. She attended Clay High School in Green Cove Springs, Florida and was Class of 1973.

Frances was a loving mother of 2 children and a grandmother to her grandson and granddaughter. She gave her life to Christ at a tender age and was baptized at Hickory Grove Baptist Church.

She was a homemaker for most of her life. She also devoted many years to UF/IFAS Extension Clay County and Clay County Environment Services.

Frances loved traveling and going on cruises. She leaves to cherish her memories her loving mother Ida Lee Cox of Green Cove Springs, FL; her son Chris (Sarah) Brown; her daughter Jennifer (Cori) Hubbard; two grandchildren; Kyllian and Kennedi Hubbard; two sisters Elaine Rhoades; Janis (Perry) Kirk; and one brother James (Kim) F. Cox Jr.; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, and loved ones.

The family will receive friends from 12:00pm-1:00pm on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 1:00pm with Rev. Russell Franklin officiating. Interment will take place at Hickory Grove Cemetery following the funeral service.
