Frances Elian Baccash, March 19,1928 – August 6, 2025, of Jacksonville FL, youngest child of Sam and Mary Elian, passed away peacefully at home with family by her side.
Loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother is preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, George Baccash and only grandson, Ronnie George T. Pickett. She is survived by her two children, Richard B. Baccash, (Sandy) and Cindy Baccash Pickett, (Jeff, deceased). Her granddaughter, Jennifer B. Stadler, and great grandsons, Brandon and Nick Stadler.
Frances grew up and lived in Jacksonville her whole life, dropping out of 9th grade to help her parents, who owned a grocery store, run the family business. She married the love of her life, George on February 14, 1954, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Riverside. She worked as a cashier at Deluxe laundry in Riverside up until her son was born. She and George later owned and operated a Sundry store on 19th and Main St until her daughter was born. She and George both were Eucharist ministers at St. Paul’s Church for over 30 years, where she enjoyed being with her Saturday 4pm peeps as she would call them. When George became a Morocco Shriner in the 70’s, they enjoyed traveling abroad and more important visiting the Shriners Children’s hospitals thru out the US to spread their love.
The family ask that in lieu of flowers, a donation per her request be made to the Morocco Shriners TRANSPORTATION FUND and sent to Morocco Shrine 560 Well Rd, Orange Park, FL 32073.
