Evelyn Faye Vargo, “Spookie”, 90 yrs old, passed away July 22, 2026. She was born to Herbert and Blanche Bailes on November 18, 1935. Mom worked for Data Signal in Albany, Ga for many years working on building deer feeders. Her hobbies were loving her family time and grandkids. She loved gardening, animals and baking her sweets. Mom was loving, witty and sneaky in card games. Survived by her children Doug Vargo, Cindy Chappell, and Wendy Wheeler. She had four grandkids Paden Vargo, Stephanie Featherstone, Jessie Vargo and Andrew Wheeler and all her grand puppies. 

A memorial service will be held in the Broadus-Raines Chapel on Friday, August 7, 2026 at 11:00am with Father Marek Dzien officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00am. Interment to follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery at 2:00pm. Please gather in Lane #1.
