Evangeline Lavertue, also known as Uma, age 79, of Jacksonville, Florida went to meet Jesus. She passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Henry J. Lavertue, and her mother & father Lois C. Stockson and Gilbert C. Stockson, both from Maine. 

She will be remembered as a loving and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend.

She loved spending time with family and friends.  She enjoyed taking trips in the RV, traveling, shopping, people watching and loving on her cat Sam. She had a profound impact on everyone she met. She never met a stranger.

She leaves behind her legacy including her children Tina & Geoffrey, her grandchildren Jeremy (Lauren) & Jennifer (Kevin), and her great-grandchildren Hunter, Calimarie, Julia, Ethan, Cheyanne, Sebastian, Layla, Roman, Hudson, Hazel, Emma & Primrose.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 11:00am in the Broadus-Raines Chapel in Green Cove Springs, FL.
