Emily Frances (Ansel) Schmitt June 25, 1921 – June 5, 2017   Emily passed away peacefully on June 5, 2017 in the Moosehaven Life Care Center at the age of 95.   She was born to parents Fred and Marie Ansel on June 25, 1921 in Dubuque, IA.   Emily married Henry Loible on November 2, 1940 they divorced on November 2, 1976. She later married Jacob Stadler on June 13, 1982 he preceded her in death on December 23, 2005.  Emily married Melvin Schmitt on December 13, 2007 he preceded her in death on July 9, 2013.   She was a property manager for 35 years before retiring in 1962. Emily enjoyed her sunshine job and riding her 3 wheel bike around Moosehaven. Emily would always talk about how thankful she was that God gave her good health for most of her life, she would say keep in mind of the huge sacrifice God gave us when he gave his Son for us.   Emily became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose on December 14, 1965 when she joined Cottage Grove, OR Chapter #810. She received her Academy of Friendship on May 5, 1968. She came to Moosehaven on February 17, 2004 where she has resided for the past 13 years.    No services at this time her ashes will be placed in the Linwood Cemetery in Dubuque, Iowa at a later date.
