Elizabeth “Betty” Angela Weston

Elizabeth “Betty” Angela Weston, of Lake Wales, Florida, passed away on November 2, 2026. She was born on February 11, 1940, in Emmett, Michigan, to Hilary and Stella Kapus.  Betty was a dedicated employee of the St. Clair County School District, where she worked until her retirement in 1995. She will be remembered as a gracious, kind, and compassionate woman whose greatest joy was her family. She had a special talent for creating handmade cards, each thoughtfully crafted and accompanied by her own carefully chosen words. Through these personal expressions, she had a way of making family and friends feel loved, remembered, and appreciated. Her genuine nature, thoughtful spirit, and devotion to those closest to her were among the many qualities that made her so special.

Betty was welcomed into Heaven by her beloved parents, many cherished siblings, her stepson, and several nieces and nephews who preceded her in death. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Raymond Weston; her brother, Michael Kapus; her son, Richard Collinge; her daughter, Jennifer Collinge; and her three stepchildren, Michael Weston, Patricia Weston, and Kristina Weston Friend. She also leaves behind a loving legacy of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, all of whom will carry her memory with them for generations to come.

A private Celebration of Life will be held in Green Cove Springs, Florida, with her immediate family.
