Edward Herbert Meyers, 80, of Fleming Island, FL, passed away August 17, 2017. He was born on April 14, 1937 in New York, NY to parents Isidore and Evelyn (Muller) Meyers. Mr. Meyers served his country in the United States Army. He was the owner of Organization Publishers and moved to the local area in 2007 from Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He loved to workout at the gym and was a member of the DAV. Mr. Meyers was extremely generous to his family and friends and was a hero to many.He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Max Meyers. Survivors include his wife, Joan Sabol Meyers; children, Christopher Fabozzi (Yvonne), Vincent Fabozzi (Denise), Stephanie Fabozzi-Cross (Douglas) and Jennifer Meyers-Mitchell (Jeff); brother, Wayne Butler (Ronnie); sister, Brenda Naidrich (Phillip); 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and his childhood best friend, Emil.A memorial service with military honors will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, September 2, 2017 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Dr. Tim McDaniel officiating.
