Heaven gained another Angel. We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Eddy Eugene Knowles, 71, Fleming Island, FL. Eddy passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2020. Eddy, or as many people knew him as Eugene, was born in Orangedale, FL, to Arthur O. and Edith Moody Knowles. After graduating from Clay High School, Eddy joined the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War, where he was awarded the Bronze Star. He worked for many years before retiring from Anheuser Busch. Eugene loved spending his time fishing, hunting, watching football, and with his family. Eugene was a proud, loving, and strong man that will be forever in our hearts and will be missed by all of those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda S. Shedd Knowles; parents, Arthur O. and Edith Moody Knowles; sister, Susie Knowles White; brother, Phillip Knowles.

Eugene leaves behind his son Eric E. Knowles; brother, Johnny (Joyce) Knowles; sister-in-law Pamelia (Willys) Shedd Gerald; and numerous nieces and nephews.
