Douglas (Doug) Judkins of Middleburg, FL passed away on Thursday December 25, 2025.
Doug was born to Fluelling Judkins and Grace I (Parks) Judkins and was the first baby born at Glacier Ridge Hospital Glennwood, MN on February 24, 1940.
Doug graduated from the Villard School in Villard, MN in 1958.
After graduation he enlisted in the U.S Navy where he served for 22 years and retired as a Command Master Chief. He then worked 20 years with the Naval Aviation Depot at NAS Jax.
In November 1960 he married Opal L Mattox of Blackshear, GA.
Doug attended Middleburg First Baptist Church. He was an active member of the Clay County Shrine club and enjoyed fishing in his spare time.
He was preceded in death by his wife, mother and father, sister Madge Harman, sister Mardie Garvin, brother Keith Judkins, brother Donald Judkins, and son-in-law Kelly Yeager.
He is survived by his sister Dorothy Engen of Oroville, CA, daughter Cindy Judkins Yeager of Green Cove Springs, FL, Sherri Judkins Yeager of Orange Park, FL, granddaughter Amanda Anderson (Travis Anderson) of Green Cove Springs, FL, granddaughter Kaila Yeager (Sam Rosso) of Land O Lakes, FL. Two great grandchildren, Hunter and Annaleigh Anderson, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 1pm at Jacksonville National Cemetery on Lainey Rd in Jacksonville, FL.
