Dorothy Jean Modlin, 82, Green Cove Springs, FL passed away April 23, 2023.

Dorothy was born to Ruth and Ted Mitchell on May 14,1940 in Samson, AL.

She graduated from Clay High School in 1958. Family-owned business of Modlin Trucking. Married to Thomas "Tom" Modlin on April 27,1958. She was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. When she was younger, she loved the beach. She loved spending time with all her grandchildren. Dorothy loved to gamble. Dorothy will be remembered as a Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Friend.

Dorothy is survived by her 1 brother, 3 sons, 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 29, 2023 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Allen Bender officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until service time.
