Dorothy was born on August 4, 1944 in Bremerton, Washington, but lived most of her life in Jacksonville, Florida. She was a wife, mother, and homemaker. She loved music and loved to dance. She would dance around the house and grab anyone that was walking by to dance with her. She loved waterfalls and wanted for some of her ashes to be spread on a flowing waterfall. She is survived by her sister, Patricia Stuart, brother-in-law Bruce Stuart, daughter Michelle Stewart, daughter Renee Smith, son Robert Mauldin, son-in-law John Smith, and daughter-in-law Blythe Mauldin. She has Grandchildren Ciera, Joshua, Brandon, Addyson, Jaxson, and Gunnar. Great-grandchildren Lucy and Elizabeth.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Richard Lofton Mauldin, Mother, Katherine Jean Hall Link, Father, Marcellious Link, and two brothers, Donnie Link and Robert Haley.
She will have a graveside service at Jacksonville National Cemetery on July 6, 2026, at 9AM and will be laid to rest with her husband Richard. Please gather in Lane #1.
