Donald G. Waltrip, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away peacefully August 2, 2019.  Don was born on October 21, 1935 in Charleston, Illinois.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Jureld E. Waltrip, (mother) and Harold J. Waltrip, (father).

He was an Air Force Veteran as well as a Vietnam Veteran.  After his career in the military he was employed by Anheuser Busch and served as the local AFL-CIO president.  Don was an avid football fan, especially the Jacksonville Jaguars.  He was a Jaguars season ticket holder for many years.

He leaves behind a loving wife, Doris "Dena" Waltrip, a daughter, Adrienne Crowder, a son, James D. Waltrip, (wife, Mary Waltrip) as well as grandchildren and a great-grandson.

He will always be remembered for his kind soul and willingness to always help others.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 am, Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Jacksonville National Cemetery with military honors.
