Donald "Mike" Edward Laflamme

October 18, 1941 — February 27, 2022

Donald Edward “Mike” Laflamme, 80 (Middleburg, Florida) passed away February 27, 2022.  Born to Leo and Florence (Colby) Laflamme on October 18, 1941 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island.  Mike attended most of his high school years at Mount Saint Charles Academy in Woonsocket, Rhode Island until he transferred to Palm Beach High School in West Palm Beach, Florida for his Senior year.  After graduation he went into the Military and chose the Navy Branch and served on the USS Roosevelt stationed in Mayport.  After serving in the Navy, he returned to Woonsocket, Rhode Island and married his sweetheart Linda (Solina) Laflamme.  After they were married, they moved to Florida to live and start their family.  Mike was involved with the North Palm Beach/Palm Beach Garden Jaycee for many years, for some of those years he was even the president of the Jaycees.  Mike was an active member of the Loyal Order of the Moose of Palm Beach Gardens.  Mike was an avid church going and he was a member of the Nativity Lutheran Church in Palm Beach Gardens, then Faith Lutheran in North Palm Beach, and when Mike and his wife moved to Clay County they became members of Advent Lutheran in Orange Park, Florida. He loved taking pictures of his family doing their activities, sporting events and family gatherings.  Mike will be remembered for his great smile, warm hugs, bragging about his family and grandkids.  He will also be remembered for blowing his red horn at his grandson’s baseball games, attending Special Olympic events and cheering on all the athletes, especially his favorite athlete, his granddaughter.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Leo Laflame; mother, Florence (Colby) Laflamme; brother, Leo Laflamme; sister, Dorothy (Laflamme) Whitcher; brother, Norman Laflamme; sister, Bertha (Laflamme) McCormick; brother, John Laflamme; and sister, Shirley (Laflamme) Rainville.

He was survived by his wife, Linda (Solina) Laflamme of Middleburg, Florida; his brother, Ron Laflamme of Marietta, Georgia; his son, Dean Laflamme (Carol Fox) of Tampa, Florida; his daughter, Hally Adams (Danny Adams) of Green Cove Springs, Florida; and grandchildren, Sydney and Bryce Adams of Green Cove Springs, Florida.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 25th at the Jacksonville National Cemetery at 1:30 those wishing to attend please arrive 15 to 20 minutes before the service time and please go to Lane Three to attend the service. 

After the service there will be a Celebration of Life for Mike at Eagle Landing Club Room at 3973 Eagle Landing Parkway, Orange Park, Florida.
