Denver Breeding, 82, of Middleburg, FL passed away January 22, 2020. He was born on October 28, 1937 in Van (Letcher County), KY to the late Elisha and Callie Breeding. After serving in the United States Air Force he moved to Ft. Lauderdale, FL where he became a construction superintendent with Fisher & Payne Construction. He later relocated to Jacksonville, FL where he was a successful entrepreneur. Denver was a member of the Moose Lodge and an avid muscle car and hot rod fanatic. He enjoyed street racing on Blanding Blvd, spending time with his family, and bragging about his grandchildren. He was loved and respected by many. Although he was lovingly known as a “TIGHTWAD”, he was very generous with his family and those he loved.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ellen Szabo Breeding, his parents, his brothers; Boyd, Bryce, James, and his sister Eulah Belle.

Denver is survived by his wife, Gail Salzer Breeding; sons, David, Benjamin, and Michael; daughter, Emlie; brothers, Harold, George, and William; sisters, Euna Clara and Mary Faye; and nine grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, January 27, 2020 at Penney Farms Cemetery with Dr. Tim McDaniel officiating, and military honors being rendered.
