Debra “Debbie” Lynn Dixon-Krage, a vibrant and loving soul, passed away on February 21, 2026. Born on March 28, 1959, in New York, New York, Debbie moved with her family to Green Cove Springs, Florida in 1969. She attended Clay High School and later earned her GED — a reflection of her determination and strong will, qualities that carried her throughout her life.

In 1993, Debbie moved to Crystal Lake, Illinois, where she worked as an office manager for H&E Sod. It was there that she met her best friend and the love of her life, William “Bill” Krage. Their love story was one of deep friendship, laughter, and unwavering devotion. After retiring in 2010, they returned to her cherished hometown in Florida.

Debbie was truly full of life and never let anything stand in her way. She faced challenges with courage, strength, and grace, always pushing forward with determination and spirit. She had a heart big enough for everyone and a warmth that made people feel instantly welcome. To know Debbie was to feel loved.

She had a special love for the beach and the ocean — you simply couldn’t keep her away from the water. The salty breeze and sound of the waves brought her peace and happiness. She even liked a little salt in her beer, one of the many joyful little details that made her so uniquely herself. Music was always part of her world, whether filling the house or playing on a car ride, creating memories her family will forever cherish.

Above all, Debbie loved her family immensely. She was a devoted wife, a proud and loving mother, and the very best Grammy to her grandchildren. Being their Grammy was one of her greatest joys and proudest roles in life. She cherished Isabella “Bella” Perkins, Zachary “Zach” Perkins, Dalton Perkins, Reed Perkins, Maisley Perkins, Dawson Perkins, and Evelyn Perkins. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and her love for them was boundless and unconditional.

She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil L. Dixon; her mother, Ellen Mary Dixon; her sister, Diane Waters; and her brothers, Robert “Bobby” Dixon, Harold Dixon, and Alfred “Al” Dixon.

Debbie is survived by her loving husband, William “Bill” Krage; her sons, Derrek Perkins of Ocala, Florida, Chris Perkins of Perry, Florida, and Brady Perkins of Middleburg, Florida; her beloved grandchildren, Kyliegh and Lexi Perkins; her brother Curtis (Sandy) Dixon of Larsen, Wisconsin; her brother Cecil (Linda) Dixon of Green Cove Springs, Florida; and her sister Mary Prond of Green Cove Springs, Florida, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.

Debbie’s life was marked by resilience, warmth, laughter, and fierce love. Though she will be deeply missed, her unstoppable spirit and the immense love she poured into her family will live on forever in the hearts of all who were blessed to know and love her.

A memorial service will be held in Debbie's honor on Tuesday, March 10 at 11:00AM in the Broadus-Raines Chapel.
