David John Viken of Jacksonville, Florida formerly from Arlington Heights, Illinois passed away September 13, 2021 at home after suffering with cancer for many years at the age of 54.

He was born to Donald and Marguerite Viken on March 3, 1967 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Marguerite Viken, sisters, Mary Elizabeth and Joan and his beloved dog, Max.

He is survived by his siblings Mark (Kathy) Viken, Paul (Terri) Viken, Ellen (Tony) Grigurch, Tim (Liz) Viken, Julie (Bob) Mandele, Kris (Eric) Bateman and many nieces and nephews.

David was a carpenter by trade.  He enjoyed playing the guitar and was a wonderful son, brother, uncle and friend to many.  He will be greatly missed.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 27, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 7190 Highway 17 South, Fleming Island, FL 32003.  Interment will take place immediately after mass.
