Darlene Deas Sims

Darlene Deas Sims, 81, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 20th, 2023 at Middleburg Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Darlene was born to William Charles Deas and Carrie Elizabeth Hayes in Jacksonville, FL, on May 21, 1941. Darlene enjoyed crafting, dancing in the rain, and spending time at the beach and in the mountains.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, and her two children, Richard Earl Sims and Ellis Hatcher III. She is survived by her children; David (Leisa) Sims of Lawtey, FL, Scott (Rhonda) Sims of Piggott, AR, Carrie (Bradley Jr) Farmer of Middleburg, FL, and seven grandchildren; Amber (Ryan) Zivitski, Katelyn Sims, Lori (Brandon) Clark, Ellis Layne Hatcher IV, Bradley (Megan) Farmer III, Morgan (Heath) Topping, Hannah Farmer, and four great grandchildren; Paxton Zivitski, Sterling Zivitski, Brodix Zivitski, and Brynlee Clark.

Darlene’s Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, May 24th, 2023, from 2-3 pm at Church of Eleven22 in Fleming Island, FL.
