Danny Dale Koch of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on August 10, 2025, at the age of 82. Born in Marshall County, Kansas, on October 4, 1942, to Cecil Ray Koch and Verla Ruth Harrison, Danny grew up alongside four brothers and one sister.

After graduating high school, Danny briefly attended Kansas State University on a basketball scholarship before answering a greater calling by joining the United States Navy. He proudly served his country for 26 years as a Chief Warrant Officer, including serving during Vietnam War and completing 13 deployments.

Danny is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Patricia (Patti) Koch; daughters Dannette (Wayne) Hull, Tricia (Brett) Marchant, and Michelle (Jimmy) Schrader; grandchildren Kiley, Samantha, Damion, Bryson, Colin, and Baylee; and great-grandchildren Ezri and Margo. He also leaves behind his beloved German Shepherd, Sheba, whom he adored.

Danny's loyalty, kindness, and big heart touched everyone who knew him. Above all else, he considered his greatest accomplishments to be his marriage, his children, and his grandchildren. Known affectionately as "Pop-Pop," he cherished every moment with his family.

A passionate fan of the Florida Gators and Jacksonville Jaguars, Danny looked forward to football season every year.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 29th at 9:30 AM at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
