Conny North

Conny North, 73, of New Brockton, AL passed away on August 29, 2025. She was born in Brooksville, FL to Lucius North and Audrey Elizabeth Forsythe-North on January 22, 1952. Conny grew up and lived most of her life in Saint Augustine, FL. She dedicated her life to serving and caring for others. Conny worked in the St. Johns County school system for several years as a teacher's aide at the elementary school level. She later completed the medical training to become a respiratory therapist and phlebotomist working in hospitals and nursing homes. After retiring from her occupation, she dedicated her time to caring for her parents. In 2022, she moved to New Brockton, AL. She enjoyed everything outdoors and was a strong advocate for animals. In her most recent years, she enjoyed spending time with her chihuahua Cinnamon and her Australian Koolie named Calico (Callie). Also, she enjoyed reading the Holy Bible and conducting biblical research.

Conny was preceded in death by her parents, Lucius North (father), Audrey Forsythe-North (mother); Debby North (sister) and Ronny North (brother). She is survived by her children, Shaun Burton (son), Dallas Newman (son); grandchildren, Emily Tompkins, Molly Burton; great-grandchildren, Olivia Tompkins and Carson Tompkins; and brother, Sammy North.

The family will receive friends from 9:30am to 10:30am on Saturday, September 6, 2025, in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 11:00am on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Decoy Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Bobby Baker officiating.
