Collennetta (Nita) Kay McLendon, 55, of Middleburg, FL, passed away on Wednesday. Sept. 22, 2021. She was born to Donald Davidson and Patricia Clevenger on August 4, 1966 in Pomeroy, Ohio. 

She graduated from Meigs High School. She worked at Middleburg elementary for 15 years in the cafeteria then drove a school bus for 5 years for clay county schools. She was of the Baptist faith and attended First Black Creek Baptist. 

Nita enjoyed being at the beach, laughing, singing, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She never met a stranger. When Nita loved she loved hard.

Nita Kay is preceded in death by Charles (Chuck) Clevenger. She is survived by her husband Samuel McLendon, sons Sam (Terisa) and Ollis. Grandchildren Adalynn and Mindy. Siblings Katie Cunningham, Donna Householder, David Davidson (Patricia), Donald Davidson (Melissa), and Daniel Davidson (Kathy). Nieces Kachera, Kloena, Kaitlyn (Derek), Brianna, Goldie (Jeremy), and Anna. Nephews Shawn (Sarah), Cody (Holly), Justin (Molly), Austin, David, Ocial, and Chris (Jerica). Along with numerous extended family. 

The family will receive friends from 10am to 11am on Tuesday Sept. 28, 2021 at First Black Creek Baptist Church, 3904 SR 16W Penny Farms, Fl. 32079. The service will start at 11am with Rev. Gary W. Melvin officiating. Graveside to follow at First Black Creek Baptist Cemetery.
