Chester (Chuck) Abram Curtis Jr., 70, of Jacksonville, FL. passed away on April 17, 2026. He was born on August 24, 1955, in Great Barrington, MA. He was lovingly raised by his late father Chester Abram Curtis Sr., along with his late grandmother, Laura Coon Curtis, and his aunt, Dottie Oen.

Chuck graduated from Housatonic Valley Regional High School in Falls Village, CT. in 1973. Over the years, he worked in many fields, reflecting his strong work ethic and adventurous spirit. He was a painter, a florist, a snow ski instructor, a volunteer firefighter, and later a plumber.

Left to honor and cherish his memory are his loving wife Hope Harrell Curtis, his children Stacey Curtis, Jen Plaskov (Justin), his stepson Brandon Harrell-Abbey (Elizabeth); and his cherished grandchildren Harley Jasmin, Curtis Jasmin, Cash Jasmin, Juniper Plaskov, Rory Plaskov & Hazel Harrell-Abbey.

Chuck will be remembered most for his love of cooking, his loyalty to the New England Patriots, his enjoyment of NASCAR racing, playing pool, gardening and going on cruises. Chuck touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to hospice.

Chuck’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
