Christopher Dwayne Wager, age 54, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 2, 2026, in Orange Park, Florida, following a courageous battle with cancer. He is now no longer suffering and is pain free, resting peacefully with the Lord.

Chris was born on July 6, 1971, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Bobby and Verna Wager.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hollie and Zella Bowman, and Gene and Mae Wager.

Chris is survived by his parents, Bobby and Verna Wager; his sisters, Phyllis Spradling and Denise Jones; and extended family members. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Haven Hospice in Chris’s memory.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 10th at 11:30am in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Family will receive friends starting one hour prior at 10:30am. Following services, burial will take place at Russell Haven of Rest. Dr. Tim McDaniel will be officiating.
