Charles “Stan” Williams, 79, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away April 1, 2018.  He was born on March 20, 1939 in Clinton, IN to parents Charles and Katherine (Green) Williams.  Mr. Williams served his country in the United States Army and had worked as a heavy equipment mechanic. He was a former Worshipful Master and member of the Cabul Masonic Lodge #116 as well as a member of the Morocco Shrine.  He attended Faith Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing in his free time.

Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents; by his wife, Mildred Williams and by his sister, Mary Elizabeth Doan.  Survivors include his son, Charlie Williams (Nexcy); brothers, Louie, Tom and Dave Doan; sisters, Vickie “Toodie” Houldson, Kathy Callaway and Emma Doan; grandchildren, Ryan Williams, Cecily Gates and Gabriel Williams and great-grandchild, Alena Gates.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday, April 5, 2018 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, April 6, 2018 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Pastor Chris Price and Rev. Louie Doan officiating.  Interment with military honors will follow in Penney Farms Cemetery.
