Charles Henry Goodman Jr., known as Chuck, passed away on January 19, 2026 in Green Cove Springs, FL. Chuck was born on 06/25/1945 to Charles H. Goodman, Sr. and Virginia Goodman in Louisville, KY.
Chuck proudly served his country for 26 years in the United States Navy retiring as a Senior Chief - a reflection of his sense of duty and commitment to others. Later, his dynamic personality was a great fit for the Hospitality Industry after 20 years.
Chuck loved God and attended River Christian Church and Grace Anglican Church, both on Fleming Island. Everywhere Chuck went you knew you were loved by him and that God loved you. Chuck’s greatest pleasure came from caring for his 4 dogs: Shelly, Gumbo, Greta and Duncan.
Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, Charles H. Goodman, Sr. and Virginia Goodman; and, 2 sisters: Mary Catherine Stanley and Judy Kordik; and 3 nieces and nephews.
Chuck was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather whose life was defined by quiet strength, loyalty, and care for those he loved. Chuck is remembered as a good husband to his wife, Cynthia Goodman, and a dedicated father to his daughter, Carrollyn M. Goodman and his cherished granddaughter, Holly Leigh Barnhouse, who brought him great joy and pride.
Chuck is also survived by his three sisters: Betty Jeane Matthews (Louisville, KY), Pat Weekley (Coupeville, WA), and Polly Townsley (Coupeville, WA); and 7 nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Grace Anglican Church. 5804 US 17 Fleming Island, FL 32003.
