Carolyn Anne Howle

December 18, 1942 — May 12, 2023

Loving mother, grandmother, and friend to all, Carolyn Anne Howle, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2023, in Fleming Island, Florida.

She was born to Claborne and Alice Barbee Hopkins on December 18, 1942, in St. Petersburg, Florida. She spent her formative years in Jacksonville, Florida, where she raised her three children with her former husband, Claude.

Carolyn’s children and grandchildren were the joy of her life. She was always available and upbeat, ready to provide life advice, travel suggestions, or just remind her family to enjoy life and love one another.

Her oldest child, Mary Alice, is an educator. Her middle child, Michael, had three children with his former wife Kendra: Sidnee, who preceded Carolyn in death, Addie, and Owen. Her youngest child, Jason, along with wife Erin, provided four grandchildren: Emma, Jake, Grady, and Gretchen.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:30 am on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at the Fleming Island Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Funeral services will begin at 11:30 and burial will follow at Peoria Cemetery.
