Carl David Forshey , 85 of Keystone Heights, FL passed away Dec. 13th at the home of his daughter with his wife Sue by his side.

Born Oct. 14, 1940 to the late Joseph & Blanche Forshey of Caldwell, OH

He graduated from Elk Local School in Harrietville, OH in 1958 In June of 2025 he was honored at his Alumni Banquet .

On June 4, 1960 he married his high school sweetheart, Sue Hendershot of Lower Salem, OH. They celebrated their 65th Anniversary in 2025.

Carl was a Farmer and a Coal Miner working for B & N Coal of Dexter City, OH before moving to Florida to fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming a Truck Driver where he worked for Pritchett Trucking up until his retirement.

He is preceded in death by His sisters: Darlene Kehl, Donna Dee Hall & Joan Nau. His Brothers: Dean, Harold & Ronald. Son: Darrel who passed in 2013. 4 Son-in-Laws: James Hesson, Lawrence Cook, Nathan Clift & Kevin Stephen. 1 Grandson - in - law, Bidkart Reyes.

Survivors are his wife: Sue Forshey of Keystone Heights, FL Daughters: Carla Cook of Keystone Heights, FL , Shila Stephen of Caldwell, OH, Shari ( David) Gann of Green Cove Springs, FL & Stacy ( Bob ) Guy of Belmont, OH.

12 Grandchildren: Darla Reyes, Donna ( Dave ) Scott, Carleigh ( James Smith ) Cook, Kristen ( Brent ) Long, Jedidiah ( Katie ) Stephen, Charlie ( Chris ) Burnsed, Cassie ( Mark ) Yaffee, David II ( Gabi ) Gann, Heidi ( Zac ) Ross, Hannah ( Adam ) Dillion, Joseph ( Kristina ) Forshey & Brittany Forshey.

24 Great Grandchildren: Cody Parks, Shelby Roberts, Colby Scott, Karina Reyes, Chesne Long, Beckett Long, Rhian Stephen, Allie Stephen, Colton Stephen, Mia Ross, Emi Ross, Eva Ross, Roc Ross, Van Ross, Cami Dillion, Fleet Dillion, Bryn Yaffee, Kennedy Yaffee, Lola Forshey, Evie Forshey, Carlton Forshey & Elliott Forshey, Odin Smith, River Smith.

The family would love to give a special thanks to Kristen Dixon with Hospice for the 10 months she help take care of dad. She was so compassionate and caring.
