Bobby Walker Hovis

Bobby Hovis passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at the age of 85. He was born to Sam Hovis and Cora Whitworth Hovis in Huntsville, AL on March 25, 1939. He graduated high school in Huntsville, AL and worked as a Manufacturing Manager at USG in Greenville, MS for 43 years before retiring.

Bobby was a faithful member of Harbor Baptist Church in Fleming Island, FL. He was known for his love of the Lord and his great love for his family. He enjoyed singing, gardening, telling stories, and constantly pursuing new projects and hobbies. He was always on the move and never met a stranger.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 66 years, Carol; sons, Robert (Tina) and Chris (Amanda); grandsons Matthew, Morgan, Carson and Caleb; extended family members and friends. 

A memorial service will be held at Harbor Baptist Church in Fleming Island, FL at 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 9, 2025.
