Billy Lee Sims of Orange Park Fl passed away on May 15, 2019. He was born July 6, 1937 in Belleville Arkansas to John and Fannie Sims.  Mr. Sims retired from the US Navy in 1984 as an Aviation Structural Mechanic at Jacksonville Naval Air Station.

Mr. Sims was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Harley and Johnny Sims, one sister, Lena Sims; and one son, Rodney (Louise).

Survivors include four brothers, Arvil (Bobbie) and Alton (Brenda) of Arkansas, Cecil (Mary Ann) and Leo Of California; two sisters, Bobby Jean Denton and Lucille Smith of Arkansas; his wife, Lavirda Sue, two sons, Douglas (Marjorie) and Greg (Melissa) Sims. He leaves 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, and friends.

Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 12:30pm on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the Jacksonville National Cemetery.
